I’m Sean Doorly, a lifelong storyteller, strategist, and creative problem-solver who has been fortunate to have two rewarding careers. I live in Los Angeles, with my wife and daughter.
My professional story began in New York and spanned three decades in media and entertainment. I did it all in digital media and marketing — from interviewing celebrities like Kate Winslet, Halle Berry, Tom Selleck, William Shatner, Kurt Russell, and Anne Hathaway for Premiere Magazine, AOL TV, and Channel One News, to launching large-scale digital projects that helped shape the early days of online entertainment.
I helped launch AOL’s In2TV, one of the first full-episode streaming platforms, and managed online content for Premiere Magazine, Road & Track, Women’s Day, and Sephora. Later, at Warner Bros., I spent 18 years leading global digital operations and marketing initiatives. I oversaw systems that distributed TV and film marketing materials to more than 1,400 clients worldwide, co-founded the secure Screeners App, led the redesign of DCComics.com, and guided campaigns for projects including Friends and House of the Dragon.
After 30 years in corporate entertainment, I decided it was time for a new chapter. Today, I run two small businesses that let me blend strategy, creativity, and connection. As a Career Ownership Coach® with The Entrepreneur’s Source®, I help professionals explore their career path based on their goals, needs, and vision for the future. My approach is centered on curiosity and clarity, not pressure. Together, we look at different possibilities, weigh the options, and identify what truly fits both professionally and personally. It’s about helping people make informed choices and move forward with confidence.
My second venture, Sean Doorly Photography, focuses on family, event, and music photography. I’ve photographed community events for the Pasadena Audubon Society, the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce, and the Montrose Christmas Parade. Photography lets me capture the stories and moments that bring people together.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, movies, hiking, volunteering, and the occasional comic convention. My wife and daughter keep me grounded and inspired.
My journey from entertainment executive to coach and photographer isn’t about leaving something behind but building on everything that came before. Whether I’m helping someone navigate a career transition or capturing the perfect moment through my camera, I’m still telling stories, just in a new way.
